Time spent with the Warlukurlangu Artists in the remote Warlpiri community of Yuendumu in Central Australia, Northern Territory, inspired a new response to the Australian landscape. Returning to their studios with sketches, and memories, each embarked on creating a new body of work in which the beauty of the land continued to reverberate in paintings that express a reverence for people and place.  Desert inspired paintings that echo the ocean, placed in a seaside gallery, highlight issues of our collective Australian identity and the vastness, diversity and unity of the land and its people.
